Kalia Antoniou wins the 50 yards Free at the SEC Championship while racing for Alabama University

One of Cyprus’ most promising swimmers, Kalia Antoniou, has won the 50 yards Freestyle race at the Southeastern Conference last week!

Kalia was racing for the Alabama University, and with her time of 21.69 she broke both her personal and the Alabama record!

Antoniou is currently #3 in the US and we couldn’t be prouder of what she has accomplished so far.

Congratulations on this incredible achievement and we wish Kalia all the best with her future goals.

Currently, Kalia has her eye on the Tokyo 2020 qualification. This would grant Antoniou her second Olympic experience since she took part in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018 where she finished 12th among some of the world’s top swimmers!
